At Neural City(www.neuralcity.in), we are building data and AI systems for cities, governance, and public decision-making. The Founder’s Office Intern will work closely with the founder across strategy, growth, marketing, hiring, product research, and government-facing communication.
We are looking for someone sharp, resourceful, curious, and comfortable with ambiguity. Someone who can research deeply, write clearly, use AI well, follow up without reminders, and turn scattered thoughts into useful output.
Location: Remote
Duration: 4 to 6 Months
Stipend: Tentatively between ₹10,000 to ₹15,000 per month.
What You’ll Work On
-
Assist the founder with pitch decks, proposals, investor notes, government presentations, and customer-facing documents
-
Conduct product, market, policy, and competitor research across CivicTech, GovTech, urban data, AI, GIS, mobility, tourism, climate, and smart cities
-
Help build outreach lists, email campaigns, LinkedIn messaging, and follow-up workflows for government, consultants, partners, and ecosystem stakeholders
-
Support marketing content by researching topics, improving drafts, converting ideas into posts, and coordinating with the design and marketing team
-
Track relevant tenders, hackathons, grants, government programs, policy updates, and ecosystem opportunities
-
Assist in hiring interns by drafting JDs, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and maintaining candidate trackers
-
Prepare briefs before meetings with officials, partners, investors, consultants, and potential customers
-
Help maintain internal trackers for business development, partnerships, content, hiring, and fundraising
-
Use AI tools aggressively for research, writing, summarization, structuring, and productivity, but with human judgment
What You’ll Learn
-
How an early-stage CivicTech startup builds products, narratives, partnerships, and government relationships
-
How pitch decks, proposals, GTM strategies, and policy-facing communication are actually created
-
How to research unfamiliar domains quickly and turn information into useful decisions
-
How founders think across product, sales, marketing, hiring, fundraising, and execution
-
How to work in sectors like urban governance, geospatial data, AI, public policy, and government technology
-
How to operate in ambiguity, prioritize fast, and produce work that actually moves things forward
Ideal Candidate
-
Strong writing, research, and communication skills
-
Comfortable using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Notion AI, or similar tools
-
Interested in startups, public policy, governance, cities, technology, or marketing
-
Can take ownership, follow up proactively, and work without constant spoon-feeding
-
Good with Google Sheets, Docs, Slides, LinkedIn, basic design sense, and internet research
-
Able to simplify complex ideas and create clean, structured outputs
-
Prior experience in content, consulting, startup work, policy, marketing, or research is a plus, but not mandatory
What This Role Is Not
-
Not a passive internship where you only attend meetings
-
Not a copy-paste research role
-
Not a “make PPT beautiful” role only
-
Not a role for someone waiting for perfectly defined tasks
-
Not a role where “I tried” is enough if the output is unusable
You will work close to the founder, see how decisions are made, and help build the operating system behind a fast-moving CivicTech startup.
