Content Policy

1. Purpose and Philosophy

At Neural City, content is not just communication—it is a tool for change. We aim to advance the adoption of City GIS, AI, and data-driven governance by producing content that is visionary, credible, and relevant.
In an era where AI can generate text, collate research, and surface statistics, the real value lies in choosing the right direction of inquiry, framing the problem with depth, and shaping narratives that matter.

2. AI-First Content Creation
  • AI as Researcher & Draftsman
We openly acknowledge that AI tools and agents play a central role in generating first drafts, collating global best practices, and surfacing data.

  • Human as Navigator & Curator
Neural City’s team defines the direction of search, priority of themes, and framing of insights. Humans guide why and what to explore, while AI assists in the how.

  • Efficiency with Responsibility
As a bootstrapped startup, this model allows us to be resourceful while creating the quality and pace of thought leadership.

3. Editorial Principles
  1. Relevance First
Content must always align with Neural City’s mission—making cities more liveable through better data and governance.

  2. Depth Over Volume
    We prioritize well-structured, insightful narratives.

  3. Transparency of Risk
AI-driven research may sometimes surface incorrect statistics or incomplete context. We commit to double editorial checks but acknowledge that errors may slip through, similar to traditional newsrooms.

  4. No Hidden Agendas
Paid or sponsored content, if published without mark, will be removed or corrected as requested by the original owners.

4. Commitment to E-E-A-T

Neural City’s content adheres to the globally recognized principles of E-E-A-T — Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness.

  • Experience: We highlight lived realities of urban life, from sanitation workers to planners, ensuring ground truth informs our narratives.

  • Expertise: We combine AI-assisted research with human domain knowledge in city planning, GIS, and policy.

  • Authoritativeness: Our content draws from credible sources, government reports, and peer-reviewed research, backed by the leadership role Neural City seeks to play in the GovTech/UrbanTech ecosystem.

  • Trustworthiness: We commit to accuracy, verification, and transparency. Corrections are made openly if errors are found, especially when AI-generated drafts surface incorrect data.

If AI helps us deliver content that meets these E-E-A-T standards — accurate, original, and trustworthy — it is acceptable within our policy framework.

5. Quality Assurance
  • Verification Layer: All critical data points (statistics, case laws, policy references) must be verified against at least two credible sources where feasible.

  • Editorial Oversight: A human editor ensures narrative coherence, contextual relevance, and value-add beyond AI’s surface-level summaries.

  • Correction Policy: If inaccuracies are discovered post-publication, Neural City will issue corrections or clarifications transparently.

6. Voice and Tone
  • Vision-Driven: Speak about how technology can create better futures for vulnerable groups—poor, women, children, elderly.

  • Policy-Oriented: Engage with governments, city planners, and journalists in a constructive, reform-focused tone.

  • Accessible but Rigorous: Balance academic depth with simplicity so that policymakers, citizens, and experts can all engage.

7. Distribution & Impact
  • Targeted Distribution: Content is designed for decision-makers, urban practitioners, and engaged citizens.

  • Action-Oriented: Each piece should aim to spark dialogue, shift perception, or inform better governance practices.

  • Thought Leadership: Neural City seeks not just to inform but to influence the trajectory of urban technology adoption.

8. Ethical Use of AI in Content
  • No Plagiarism: AI-generated content is reviewed to avoid reproduction of copyrighted works.

  • Attribution: Data, research, and images used must always be credited to original sources.

  • Human Judgment Prevails: Final responsibility for the content lies with Neural City, not the AI systems.
